When pain makes it harder to sit, walk, sleep, work, or manage everyday responsibilities, getting clear answers matters.
Synergy Spine and Pain Center provides interventional pain management treatment services for selected sources of spine, joint, and nerve pain. Our treatment options range from diagnostic injections and nerve blocks to minimally invasive spine procedures and neuromodulation.
We will work with patients near the DMV area to identify the likely source of your symptoms and explain your treatment options clearly. Our goal is to help you function more comfortably and return to the activities that matter to you.
The same symptom can have more than one possible cause. Back pain, as an example, may come from a spinal disc, joint, nerve, fracture, or another structure. A treatment that helps one source of pain may not be appropriate for another.
Your evaluation helps us narrow down the likely source of your symptoms and discuss reasonable options. Depending on your needs, your plan may include a diagnostic procedure, an injection, nerve-targeted treatment, minimally invasive spine procedure, neuromodulation, or SI joint stabilization. Not every patient needs a procedure, and no single treatment is right for everyone.
With offices in Bowie/Glenn Dale, Fort Washington, and Silver Spring, Synergy Spine and Pain Center cares for patients throughout the greater DMV area. Our team provides diagnostic and pain management treatments for spine, joint, and nerve pain. The pain management services we provide include:
Discography, also called a discogram, is a diagnostic procedure used to evaluate whether one or more spinal discs may be contributing to pain. It can provide additional information when a physician is planning the next stage of care.
A selective nerve block places medication near a specific spinal nerve. The response may help identify the source of nerve-related pain and may also provide temporary symptom relief for some patients.
An epidural injection delivers medication into the epidural space around the spinal nerves. It may be considered when inflammation or nerve irritation contributes to neck, back, arm, or leg pain.
Facet joints are small joints that help stabilize and guide movement in the spine. Facet joint injections and medial branch blocks can help evaluate whether these joints are contributing to pain. In some cases, they may also provide temporary relief.
The sacroiliac joints connect the lower spine to the pelvis. An SI joint injection places medication into the joint and may be used to help confirm the source of pain or reduce inflammation and symptoms.
Genicular nerve ablation targets selected sensory nerves around the knee. It may be considered for certain patients with persistent knee pain, often after a diagnostic nerve block helps confirm that the targeted nerves are involved.
A rhizotomy targets selected nerve fibers that carry pain signals. This treatment may be considered when diagnostic testing indicates that specific nerves are contributing to ongoing pain.
The MILD procedure is designed for selected patients with lumbar spinal stenosis caused in part by thickened ligament tissue. Through a small access site, the procedure removes small portions of tissue to create more room in the spinal canal.
Kyphoplasty is a minimally invasive procedure for certain painful vertebral compression fractures. A small balloon creates space inside the affected vertebra, which is then stabilized with medical bone cement.
VIA Disc is an injectable allograft treatment intended for selected patients with pain associated with degenerative disc disease. A clinical evaluation is necessary to determine whether the diagnosis and treatment history fit the procedure’s criteria.
Spinal cord stimulation uses an implanted device to send low-level electrical signals near the spinal cord and change how certain pain signals are perceived. Patients generally complete a temporary trial before deciding whether to proceed with permanent implantation.
Minimally invasive SI joint fusion may be considered when the joint has been identified as a likely source of persistent pain and appropriate nonsurgical care has not provided adequate improvement.
TransLoc and CornerLoc are specific approaches used to stabilize the SI joint. Your physician can explain how these procedures differ and whether either option is appropriate for your diagnosis.
The PainTEQ LinQ procedure is another minimally invasive approach to SI joint stabilization. Recommendations depend on a complete evaluation, diagnostic findings, previous treatment, and individual health considerations.

An imaging result alone will not determine your treatment. Dr. Chada also listens to what you are feeling, how pain affects your day, what care you have already tried, and what you want to be able to do again. Together, these holistic details will help her recommend options that are right for you.
If a procedure is worth considering, we will explain what it is meant to do, how it may help, what risks are involved, and what other options you may have. We will also tell you what to expect afterward. You can ask questions and take the time you need to feel comfortable with your decision.
Your first appointment at Synergy Spine and Pain Center focuses on understanding the problem. Please bring all relevant medical records, imaging reports, a current medication list, and information about previous treatment when available.
If a procedure is recommended, our team will send you instructions specific to that treatment. Preparation, transportation needs, activity restrictions, and recovery vary by procedure. Our team will explain what applies to you and arrange follow-up to assess your response.

Interventional pain management uses targeted diagnostic and therapeutic procedures as part of a broader plan for managing pain. Depending on the diagnosis, this may include injections, nerve blocks, ablation, decompression, neuromodulation, or selected stabilization procedures.
Our practitioner’s decision is based on your symptoms, physical examination, medical history, imaging, previous treatment, and personal goals. Diagnostic injections or nerve blocks may sometimes provide additional information before another treatment is considered.
